Italian Winemaker was painted in 1842, during Katarina Ivanović's studies at the Vienna Academy. In this work, she adapted a popular Biedermeier genre scene, likely drawing inspiration from her Austrian contemporaries. By focusing on the realistic representation of everyday life, Ivanović introduced entirely new themes to Serbian painting: genre art and still life. (Again, approximate it with colored dots.)
